To my Fellow Writerly Rascals & Rascally Friends in General, here’s a little overview of my delightful afternoon at downtown Oregon City’s Localopolis event last Saturday.
It couldn’t have been a more perfect Oregon Summer day with its ‘just right’ breeze and us in the perfectly shaded spot in front of the Mary Rose Boutique (who just happened to be having a 30% off summer sale!) A perfect afternoon to hang out with other Oregon writers, local shopkeepers, first-time visitors to the city on the river with its amazing Falls, and passersby meandering the Main Street on their way to dinner at one of the neighborhood’s several bistro choices.
All three of my books were available for sale along with a sampling of take-home-free recipes from All In The Soup Together. In addition to the photos, I’m also posting each of the poems we framed and featured from each book. You can probably tell which came from which.

I couldn’t resist bringing Albertina, the reading cherub holding my cards. I named her after my father, who was disappointed that none of my sons carried his name. I don’t know if it made up for his disappointment or not, but her sweet presence has made me happy for 20+ years.
And by the way, the smiling faces in the last photo are some of my favorite people, Maya, Me, Chris, and Gail.
If we’re all still here next summer, let’s do this again!
